Full Description

A silver penny, indistinct but probably from the reign of Richard II (1377-1399). Weight 1.19g. The coin was found on 25 October 1987 by Mr A Mitchell using a metal detector, at a depth of approximately 2" below the surface. It was identified by L J Keen of Dorset County Council for a Treasure Trove Inquest held in Blandford on 16 October 1987.
