Description

Poole Museum carried out excavations on Church Street between May and June 1975. This followed two small trial trenches excavated in 1973-4. The excavations revealed evidence for medieval activity including a ditch, postholes, stakeholes and pits. The remains of a late 15th/early 16th century house were also found. This house was demolished in 1938. (1) (2)
