EWX2289 - Quaker Burial Grounds in Dorset; topographic survey 1994

A brief topographical survey of Quaker burial grounds in Dorset carried out by Gwynne Stock for a dissertation for Bournemouth University to meet a number of objectives including ascertaining ownership. A total of nine burial grounds were identified from documentary sources at Bridport (‘old’ and ‘new’ burial grounds), Marnhull, Shaftesbury, Sherborne, Weymouth, Poole, Dorchester and Lyme Regis. The first six sites were visited, photographed and measured. Aside form the burial grounds mentioned in this survey, the DCC copy of this report has a hand-written note stating there may be a Quaker burial Ground at Hawkchurch no grid reference is given.
