Description

Archaeological evaluation comprising 8 trenches equivalent to an approximately 2.5% of the proposed extraction area. Archaeological deposits noted included a possible Bronze Age barrow as well as other deposits from the Late Iron Age and Romano-British periods. Finds of Neolithic pottery were noted but were not associated with known archaeological features.
