Description

Alan Graham undertook a watching brief during the reflooring of the nave of the church in 1999. The works revealed that in most of the area of the nave, any archaeological deposits had been destroyed by the sub-floor voids beneath the timber floor. Some undisturbed stratigraphy did survive beneath the central stone path in the nave and in the east end of the South Aisle. These were left undisturbed.(1)
