Description
AC archaeology carried out an evaluation of 165-167 Blandford Road in June 1999, in advance of redevelopment. A total of six trenches were excavated by machine. A broad shallow ditch was picked up in three trenches. It contained a sherd of medieval and a possible Iron Age pottery sherd. This ditch was along the line of the boundary between 165 and 167 Blandford Road and may be a remnant of this boundary. Also two modern post holes on the street frontage. Very few artefacts were recovered. (1) (2)
