Assessment carried out in advance of the construction of the new facility. Site adjacent to Portland Castle and the lower slopes of the Verne citadel. The author concluded that the work was unlikely to unearth finds of prehistoric or Romano-British date but there was high potential for disturbance of features relating to Portland Castle.
