Description

3 test pits excavated in kitchen during building work. These revealed evidence of the staircase having been moved and of an earlier drainage system. Finds (scarce) ranged from the 17th-19th centuries. Reused stone from the Castle was noted in the walls. Finds/archive held at National Trust's Castle View Office, Corfe Castle.
