Description
Wessex Archaeology carried out a watching brief in November-December 1994, during groundworks for the extension of Bearwood Primary School, Wheelers Lane, Poole. The observations revealed seven linear features belonging to ditched field systems dating from the Iron Age to the medieval period. Two pits, one Late Bronze Age and one Roman were also recorded within this field system. This work followed on from earlier work on the site in 1992-1994. The field system may be a continuation of one found at White's Pit to the west. (1)
