Description

Three trenches representing 4% of the area to be developed were excavated by machine. Excavation conditions were poor due to flooding. A small number of linear features (gullies, ditches) land drains, post holes, etc were encountered. These were all interpreted as 19th or 20th century agricultural features but dating evidence was lacking.
