Description
The site has four phases: Phase 1: an un-enclosed IA settlement; Phase 2: a sub-rectangular enclosure ditch dug around the settlement; Phase 3: the enclosure and ditch were backfilled and a roundhouse built on the backfill; Phase 4: RB occupation consisting of four spreads of debris and rectilinear hollows which may represent buildings. Also a corn-drying kiln and water tank. The settlement continued into the C4th.Five or six IA burials were found in the enclosure pits and ditch, and a cluster of five to the east of the enclosure are dated to the RB period from the presence of coffin nails.
