Description

In 1975 Poole Museum excavated four small test pits in Paradise Street in front of the Town Cellars. Test Pits I and II were at the southwest and southeast corners of the east part of the Town Cellars and revealed the remains of earlier buttresses belonging to an earlier phase of the building. Test pits IV and V were further south in Paradise Street, but no records for these survive.
