Description

In June 1985 a machine trench for the Turlin Moor-Poole pipeline exposed a section through the Hamworthy to Badbury Roman road, which was recorded by Poole Museum. The road survived as a single layer of gravel 0.3m thick overlying the remains of a turf stack.
