Description

Excavations by H P Smith and A Bromby in 1951 partly revealed possible hut sites about four feet above the beach and two feet below the ground surface in the low earth 'cliff' at this point. Iron Age pottery, pieces of unworked Kimmeridge shale and a piece of burnt fire clay with a wattle imprint were amongst finds recovered.
