Description

A dressed limestone block was exposed by ploughing in 1966 in an area on the east side of Puncknoll Knoll where a scatter of Romano British pottery was known. Subsequent investigation and excavation revealed three other limestone blocks and an extended male skeleton but with no grave goods. Small sherds of Romano British pottery were found in all levels of the grave fill.
