Description

Observations and recording by Context One Archaeological Services during groundworks for construction of a council depot revealed no significant deposits or features. The modern surfaces of allotment soil and Type One aggregate used to level the area were shown to be laid upon undisturbed natural river gravels. Modern finds were found in a layer of topsoil thought to have been imported from elsewhere.
