Description
OASIS: Project Methodology: The evaluation fieldwork comprised the excavation of 3no 15m x 1.8m trenches. The trenches were located to test the potential line of the former deer park pale, as suggested by LiDAR data.
Project Results: In August 2023, Cotswold Archaeology carried out an archaeological evaluation of land at Park Farm, Gillingham, Dorset. A total of three trenches were excavated. No features or deposits of archaeological interest were observed and no artefacts pre-dating the modern period were recovered.
