Description

Terrain Archaeology carried out archaeological monitoring at Elkin’s Boat Yard during the removal of 20 small timber jetties, to be replaced by a series of modern pontoons. The timbers were modern and had been driven into the silts of the River Avon to depths of between 0.3 – 2.2m. Most of the timbers came out clean but a small number had remnants of modern silts adhering. No archaeology was revealed.
