Description
OASIS: Archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken by AC archaeology between February and March 2024 at 50 Island House, Newland, Sherborne, Dorset (ST 64052 16844). The monitoring was undertaken during the groundworks associated with the construction of a garden loggia, pond, and extensions to the existing house and garage. Project Results: The results of the monitoring were negative, with only a simple soil sequence and modern surfaces overlying the natural subsoil recorded. No finds were recovered.
