Description
OASIS: An archaeological watching brief was undertaken in August 2020 during groundworks associated with a new sewage system at Darknoll Farm, just to the north of Okeford Fitzpaine in Dorset. This groundwork represented an initial stage of work associated with the refurbishment of an existing storage building that will be converted into a self-contained residential unit.
Project Results: Although the development area lay adjacent to an area of archaeological interest (the Darknoll deserted medieval village, which is a scheduled monument), no archaeological deposits or artefacts were recorded during the archaeological monitoring.
