Description

Evidence for human inhumations was recorded from within the foundation trenches and these are likely to relate to the nearby Abbey Church; such evidence is the first to confirm the use of land to the east of the chancel for burial ground and assists in an understanding of the medieval topography of the Abbey Church and its grounds.
