Description

A watching brief was carried out during the hand-excavation of three small structural engineer's test pits at the ends of the bridge in Sandsfoot Castle Gardens Terrain Archaeology carried out archaeological observations and recording during the excavation three structural engineer’s test pits at both ends of the present bridge across the ditch of the seventeenth century castle outworks. The test pits revealed part of the top of the outwork bank, which has been disturbed by more recent activity.
