Description

OASIS: A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out by Oakford Archaeology in May 2024 during works at Poole Museum, Poole, Dorset. The work comprised the monitoring of works associated with the widening of the existing lift shaft and exposed the remains of brick walls possibly associated with the former 19th century warehouse. No finds were recovered from the excavations. Project Results: The work exposed the remains of brick walls possibly associated with the former 19th century warehouse. These were probably demolished as part of the 1975 refurbishment of the building and no finds were recovered from the excavations
