Description
Geophysical survey of parts of an area proposed for development as a solar farm; other parts of the area were not available because of crops. Anomalies interpreted as being of probable archaeological origin included numerous pit-like features. Most of these were thought most likely to represent natural undulations in subsoil, but two concentrations of pit-like anomalies in the southern part of the site were interpreted as possible evidence of prehistoric enclosures or boundaries. An area of linear anomalies suggesting possible remains of ridge and furrow was noted, and other linear anomalies were thought likely to represent a possible trackway and later field boundaries.
