Description

24 trenches were dug in preparation for development, 11 trenches found no archaeology, 4 included modern features and deposits, 7 trenches had boundary or drainage ditches, 8 were post medieval and 1 dated to the Bronze Age. No previous features had been recorded on this site, a small scattering of Bronze Age pottery and flints as well as a small number of Romano-Britsih pottery. No suggestion of concentrated activity from this site, prehistoric findings likely to have derived from activity upslope. Post Medieval and modern deposits of negligible value and significance.
