EDO7919 - The Sloop, Commercial Road, Poole; historic building recording 2021

To inform the initial planning application, a Heritage Impact Assessment for the Site was carried out in July 2020. This included an account of the historic development of The Sloop, and a Level 1 survey to appraise the significance of the building. In November 2021, AJC Group commissioned Cotswold Archaeology to undertake an Historic Building Recording of the Sloop Public House, on Commercial Road in Poole. The recording is required to preserve the building by record prior to its demolition under APP/V1260/W/20/3264947. The building is a much-altered late 19th century public house which underwent significant alteration and extension in the 1930s.
