Description

The South Wessex Archaeological Association undertook excavations in October 1969 following the discovery of Iron Age pits and pottery during road works on the southern boundary of 'Riviera' East Overcliff Drive, Bournemouth. The excavations revealed evidence for numerous Iron Age ditches, pits, postholes, which were overlaid by Romano-British occupation features and finds.(1) NMR UID: 650724
