Description

NRHE: Magnetometer survey of two hectares examined on the SE side of the Shapwick road. High concentration of features along the Dorchester Roman Road. The fort ignores the line of the road. The greatest concentration of features within the fort lie at its NE end. There may be evidence of pre-Roman activity on the site in the form of a curved ditch.
