Description

6 foundation inspection trenches dug under archaeological supervision. Foundations for internal walls and screens were noted as were the position of the original staircase and floor level. Prehistoric flints and Medieval pottery were found beneath the latter. There was no trace of an earlierbuilding or of the Hamworthy to Badbury Roman road (the line of which runs through the Court House).
