Description
Observations and recording by Terrain Archaeology in November 2020 during installation of a water refill point at the south end of South Street. Most of the area was heavily disturbed by modern services and activity, but a deep layer of soil exposed at the bottom of the trench may be part of the upper filling of the inner ditch of the Roman town defences.
