Description

A 1:1000 scale survey of the earthworks on the southern tip of Pilsdon pen was carried out on behalf of the National Trust and English Heritage. The resulting plan and land use overlay will be used for management purposes. The 12.5ha investigated contains a two-phase defended enclosure of Iron Age date, two barrows, warren earthworks and ridge and furrow.
