Description

Trench excavated across the bank and ditch of the south-east quadrant of the Southern Henge following geophysical survey (EHGSDB Visit Nos: 2361,2362). The ditch was found to be 5.5m deep, separated from the bank by a berm 9.5m wide. The bank survived to a maximum height of0.2m and appeared to be delimited by two flat-based gullies 1.5m wide and 0.3m deep.
