Description

Monitoring of groundworks on the site of the 18th century kiln, possibly associated with the Sims family, recovered an 18th century pit group including a whole jar, used as a waster. It is one of only two unglazed jars recovered from the 38 known kilns in the Eastworth/Holtwood group.
