Description
Following geophysical survey and field-walking, a series of 1m square test pits uncovered substantial foundations, traces of a hypocaust,tesserae in situ, glass and painted plaster at the villa site, which willbe further investigated in 1997. Work also identified medieval and lateroccupation in the same field, suggesting a deep continuity of occupation. 2001 was the sixth and final season.
