Description

In 1977 a small excavation was carried out next to an area where a surface scatter of Mesolithic and Neolithic flints had been found in 1969. A trench 6m by 4m was dug, and 970 flints were recovered, all but three of Later Mesolithic date. A post medieval hut (SU 01 NW 113) was also examined.
