Description
Observations and recording during groundworks for a Wessex Water Authority reinforcing main from Kington Magna to Marnhull revealed evidence of medieval and early post-medieval settlement at Fifehead Magdalen (ST 7746 2125), borne out by air photographic evidence, with likely building foundations associated with pottery sherds, dating from the 12th to 16th centuries.
