Description

Observations and recording during minor works in December 2018. These included creation of two new beacon bases, erosion repairs around the stocks (modern) in the outer bailey, and emergency repairs to electicity cables at the edge of the outer bridge. None of these works penetrated below modern levels, and no significant archaeological deposits were exposed.
