Description
Further archaeological evaluation of an area of approximately 4.6ha on a north-facing slope of a hill. Nine trenches approximately 30m by 1.6m were dug by machine, revealing generally shallow soil above natural. These comprised dark brown silty clay topsoil over yellowish-brown to dark brown silty clay subsoil, on top of the light to mid- yellowish brown silty clay natural.
