Description

Observations and recording during building of an extension at the eastern end of the south wall and a service trench from the south-east corner of the church to Church Street. This work included the removal of a revetment wall, which proved to be associated with construction of the Chancel and Vestry in 1906-7. Seven graves were partially exposed and recorded, two with brick-lined shaftes, two with ledger slabs, and one broken stub of a headstone. None of these graves were dated but are likely to be eighteenth or nineteenth century in date.
