Description
The Dorset Castles Research Group was commissioned by the management of Upton Country Park to investigate archaeological features observed from aerial photographs. The site was known as 'Half Moon' and a new fence and footpath was about to be constructed across it. The survey was fourfold: topographical, resistivity, gradiometer and trial trenching. Linear features and ditches were present and evidence of ridge and furrow. None of the features were conclusively dated.
