Description

Evaluation comprising the excavation of five trenches across the site encountered a high degree of disturbance, including levelling, services and contamination. No archaeological features or deposits were encountered. A tree-throw hole with residual worked flint was recorded in Trench 3, and an alluvial deposit with residual worked fint in Trench 4; the latter was interpreted as resulting from a flood event before the building of the original brewery.
