Description
The survey was commissioned by AC Archaeology as part of work done for Strutt and Parker LLP in relation to proposed development. The site covered c. 1ha to the north of Maiden Newton. 15 groups of magnetic anomalies were recorded. Five of these coincided with known earthworks on the site while a further five were probably connected to agricultural activity such as field boundaries, strip lynchets, tracks and enclosures.
