Description

An archaeological evaluation comprising three test pits, each 1m² to 1.5m², excavated by hand within the footprint of a proposed new building to the rear of the Lloyds Bank. No archaeological features were present. Work revealed made ground over natural deposits, indicating that the site had been terraced for building the bank and car park to the rear.
