Description

Archaeological evaluation of a site proposed for the construction of eight houses. The evaluation comprised the excavation of four trenches, equivalent to a sample of approximately 5% of the site. A mid-19th century boundary bank crossed the site, and number of low earthworks on the site were shown to be relatively ephemeral and probably quite modern in origin. No buried archaeology was revealed. A scatter of unstratified flint and chert was recovered.
