Description

Fluxgate gradiometer survey recorded limited indicators of potential archaeological remains, comprising a number of linear anomalies in the northern part of the site, which might be interpreted as possible field boundaries. It was noted that the survey did not pick up two round barrows known to be in the northern part of the site, or a possible enclosure seen as cropmarks in the south-eastern part of the site. Most, possibly all, examples of weak variation were thought most probably to indicate natural features, while stronger zones of enhanced variation were thought to relate to recent and current activities.
