Description

Geophysical survey by Southampton University identified a number of probable archaeological features, most relating to a military camp of 18th-century date. This work confirmed indications from contemporary documents that this camp, known as Shroton Camp and formerly thought to be located at Iwerne Courtney or Shroton, was located in the area of West Pimperne Farm.
