Description

Observations and recording during groundworks for the renewal of the retaining wall along Weymouth Avenue and the erection of a new fence along Weymouth Avenue and Maumbury Road. Works disturbed post-medieval and modern agricultural soils and deposits relating to the landscaping of the site in the late 19th century, and areas of modern disturbance associated with services along Maumbury Road. No archaeologically-significant deposits were revealed. The only feature observed was a ditch, thought probably to be post-medieval or modern.
