Description

Observations and recording during groundworks associated with a new development identified limited evidence for archaeological remains on the site. High levels of ground disturbance and made ground deposits indicated that the area had been heavily disturbed. A single wall foundation was exposed between 66 North Street and the street. This wall is thought to relate to the Wareham Gas Company which occupied the site from 1839.
