Description
Cotswold Archaeology undertook an archaeological evaluation of the route of the proposed Corfe Mullen to Salisbury Water Transfer Scheme between July and December 2012. A total of 47 trenches were excavated in Dorset.
Trench 68 was located to the north of the proposed new Pimperne Pumping Station. It was in two separate parts each measuring 15m by 1.8m. It was excavated across a discrete positive geophysical anomaly (part of 212) and a linear negative anomaly (211). No archaeology was identified. [1] [2]
