Description
Area A5 is a detailed gradiometer survey area, which formed part of the larger geophysical survey undertaken along the route of a new water supply main between the Wessex Water works at Corfe Mullen, Dorset to Camp Hill Storage Tank near Salisbury, Wiltshire.
No anomalies of probable archaeological origin have been identified in area A5.
Possible archaeology is represented by several discrete positive responses indicative of former cut features such as in-filled pits (Anomaly 384) and several magnetic spikes indicative of ferrous materials.
The record for this event has been created with support from Wessex Water.
